Best Credit Cards for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, and CLEAR Plus in 2026
September 27, 2026

The content on this page is accurate as of the posting date; however, some of the offers mentioned may have expired.
Global Entry costs $120 for a five-year membership, and approval includes TSA PreCheck. Many travel credit cards will reimburse that fee when you charge it to the card, so the program costs you nothing out of pocket.
The list of cards with this credit got longer in 2026. A $95 Chase card added it in June, Capital One now offers it on two business cards, and IHG rebuilt its card lineup in October. Below are the cards worth a look, with what each credit covers and what you pay to carry the card.
Every card here reimburses up to $120 toward Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, generally once every four years. A few also cover NEXUS, and one adds an annual CLEAR+ credit.

Best for Beginner Travelers
Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card (See Rates & Fees)
The Venture has a $95 annual fee and gives you a statement credit of up to $120 for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck every four years when you pay the application fee with the card. That covers the full Global Entry fee.
One limitation: Capital One’s credit applies to Global Entry or TSA PreCheck only. If you cross the U.S.-Canada border often and want NEXUS, look at the Chase cards below.

Best Low-Fee Card for NEXUS
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
Chase added a trusted traveler credit to the Sapphire Preferred on June 15, 2026. Cardmembers can receive a statement credit of up to $120 every four years for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS, applied automatically once the application fee is charged to the card. The annual fee stayed at $95.
That makes it the lowest-fee card on this list that also covers NEXUS. No activation is required for the credit.

Best for Travel Perks
Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card (See Rates & Fees)
The Venture X costs $395 a year and includes the same credit as the Venture: up to $120 for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck every four years. The higher fee buys more travel perks, including a $300 annual travel credit for bookings through Capital One Travel.
If the Global Entry credit is the only perk you care about, the Venture gets you the same reimbursement for a lower annual fee.

Best for Global Entry and CLEAR+
The Platinum Card® from American Express (See Rates & Fees)
The Platinum Card is the only card on this list that covers both a trusted traveler program and CLEAR+. You can receive either a $120 statement credit for a Global Entry application fee or a statement credit of up to $85 for TSA PreCheck through an official enrollment provider, every four years. It also offers up to $219 in statement credits per calendar year toward a CLEAR+ membership paid with the card.
The annual fee is $895, so this card makes sense if you will use its wider set of travel and lifestyle credits, not for the airport credits alone.

How to Get Your Global Entry Credit
Apply for Global Entry through U.S. Customs and Border Protection and pay the $120 fee with your eligible card. The reimbursement shows up as a statement credit, usually within a couple of billing cycles. Global Entry also requires an in-person interview before approval.
Pick Global Entry Over TSA PreCheck
Global Entry includes TSA PreCheck, so if there is any chance you will travel internationally, use the credit on Global Entry. TSA PreCheck on its own runs $78 to $85 depending on the enrollment provider, and approval does not include Global Entry.
Know How Often the Credit Resets
Memberships last five years, while most of these credits reset every four years, so you can renew before your membership expires. Capital One, for example, processes one statement credit per account every four years and applies it to whichever application fee is charged to the card first.
Use It for Someone Else
If you already have Global Entry, some cards will still reimburse the fee when you pay for another person’s application. Check your card’s benefit terms before you pay.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Global Entry Include TSA PreCheck?
Yes. Approved Global Entry members get TSA PreCheck at no additional cost, which is why Global Entry is usually the better use of a card credit.
Which Credit Cards Cover NEXUS?
On this list, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, United℠ Explorer Card, and IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card cover NEXUS. The Capital One and American Express cards here list Global Entry and TSA PreCheck only.
Do Authorized Users Get the Credit?
Some cards extend it to additional cardholders. On The Platinum Card® from American Express, Additional Card Members also receive the credit when the application fee is charged to their own card. Other cards limit it to one credit per account, so read the terms.

Any card on this list will cover Global Entry, so the better question is which annual fee you can justify. If you only want the credit, a $95 card does the job. If you will use lounges, travel credits, or CLEAR+, the premium cards can earn back their fees.
